Visa Photo Requirements by Country

United States (US Visa): 2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm), white background, head height 25–35 mm.

Schengen Area (Europe): 35 × 45 mm, light grey or white background, head should occupy 70–80% of the photo.

United Kingdom: 35 × 45 mm, plain cream or light grey background, no shadows.

Canada: 35 × 45 mm or 50 × 70 mm depending on visa type, white background.

Australia: 35 × 45 mm, plain white or light-coloured background.

China: 33 × 48 mm, white or light blue background, head width 15–22 mm.

Japan: 45 × 35 mm, white background, taken within 6 months.

India: 2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm), white background, matte finish preferred.
